The department offers excellent opportunities for students to specialize in selected disciplines of chemical engineering. The total number of students in this department is 550 studying at B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. levels. The Department provides excellent facilities for pursuing research in various fields of chemical engineering. There are 18 laboratories and a glass blowing workshop in this department. Some of the laboratories are allocated solely to research and the rest are used for educational purposes. Educational and Research laboratories are introduced in laboratories page.

        In addition to access to computers, the Department has its own facilities which include many personal computers and a departmental library which contains more than 40,000 documents (books, journals, reports etc.) related to chemical engineering.
